Kenwood DPX-55MD
デュアルサイズCD/MDレシーバー: The DPX-55MD is the straightforward one in its family, and that is the appeal. Kenwood shipped three decks off this chassis: the DPX-44 with a cassette deck, the DPX-66MD with MP3, WMA and AAC decoding, and this one sitting in the middle doing CD and MiniDisc with nothing bolted on top. What it does have is a CD transport quoting 105 dB signal to noise and 0.008% distortion, which is better than plenty of decks wearing far more badges, plus a three band tone control with a proper midrange point at 1 kHz rather than the usual bass and treble only. There is an AUX input on board for a phone or a Bluetooth module. At 1.9 kg it is also the lightest 2-DIN in the drop by a clear margin. No pre-outs on this model, so plan on running it off the internal 50W x 4.
