That matters less than it sounds, because the MD deck here is the better transport on paper anyway: 0.005% distortion, 93 dB signal to noise and 85 dB separation, beating the CD side outright on distortion. MDLP is supported, with LP2 and LP4 indicators lighting on the display. 50W x 4 with 1.5V pre-outs for going further, and you can even add a remote to control it.
