The FH-P005MD above it adds MP3 decoding and the FH-P717MD adds four more equaliser bands, but this one still carries the full processing toolkit: a 9 band graphic EQ running 50 Hz to 12.5 kHz at plus or minus 12 dB, a network high pass filter with selectable slope, and a dedicated subwoofer output with its own frequency, slope, level trim and phase invert. That is a properly tunable three way setup from the cheapest deck in the family. The MD side reads MDLP, so long play discs recorded at double or quadruple length play without complaint, and the CD side handles CD-R and CD TEXT. At 1.8 kg it is the lightest 2-DIN in the drop by a clear margin, and it still puts out 50W x 4 with 1.8V pre-outs for when that stops being enough.
